The reverse features Benedetto Pistrucci’s classic depiction of Saint George slaying the dragon, identical to the original sovereign design and enhanced with a “C” mint mark to signify its Canadian origin. The obverse bears the effigy of King Edward VII by George W. DeSaulles, accompanied by the original Latin legend used in the early 20th century.
This coin marks the 110th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mint and has a limited mintage of just 5,000 pieces worldwide.
