The 1983 Canada Select Gem Uncirculated Proof-Like Set is a six-coin collector set featuring Canada’s standard circulating denominations from that year, struck with a brilliant proof-like finish. While the Royal Canadian Mint originally issued proof-like sets in clear pliofilm packaging with an envelope, select premium editions were later presented in elegant red leather-like display boxes to enhance presentation and collector appeal.

The coin designs, effigy, and formats remain unchanged from 1982, with the only difference being the dated year on each coin.
