Design

The reverse features a side-by-side composition showcasing Communications Officer Nyota Uhura and her signature Star Trek technology. On the left, a selectively coloured portrait depicts Uhura in her red Starfleet uniform holding a tricorder, the handheld device used for data sensing and analysis aboard the Enterprise. To the right, a larger engraved rendering of the tricorder reveals intricate details such as control buttons, compartments, and the shoulder strap. Both elements overlap the engraved Starfleet Delta Shield insignia in the background. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, along with the denomination and year.
