Design

The reverse, designed by Canadian artist Julius Csotonyi, depicts a festive outdoor Canadian holiday scene. At the center, a charming white glass snowman wears a black top hat, red buttons, orange carrot nose, and green scarf, set against gently sloping snow-covered grounds. To the left stands a decorated evergreen tree, adorned with lights, ornaments, and white garlands, while a pair of old-fashioned skates rests at its base. In front, a winding ice path leads to a warmly lit, snow-covered log cabin on the right. Additional details include a snow-laden bench with a red mug of cocoa and glimmering crystalline snowflakes falling from the night sky. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the denomination and year of issue.
